Design of massively parallel dc/dc power converters of several watts each into a single output dc device. Series and parallel operation of the dc converters into a single 60 Hertz output converter. Developed maximum power recovery dc/dc converters for the first stage. Use of commercial HVDC information for the dc/ac inverter stage connection to the power grid.

Aerospace planning programs of multi-kilowatt electronic space/planetary power systems. Dc/dc and dc/ac space environment hardware estimates to determine weight and efficiency of power systems to be rocket-boosted into orbit. Existing hardware designs analyzed and extrapolated to predict new power system elements - source, energy storage, bulk transmission, conversion and secondary distribution. Power flow methods used to determine bulk power transmission losses and voltage profiles.

Rotating machinery power conversion. Permanent magnet machines for dc/ac energy storage/power conversion, homopolar motors for special applications such as ship propulsion, synchronous machines for power transmission and propulsion of ships, and unusual motors such as rotating brush machines.
